Small amount of water on my Ipod Touch?
Yesterday I had my Ipod touch inside a bag along with a bottle of water. I didn’t realize that the water was leaking. A small amount of water got into my Ipod touch case and my screen stopped working. I tried powering it on and off several times and plugging it up to the computer so much that it ran hot. I realize now by reading other blogs that I shouldn’t have done that. I took it over to the apple store and only a small part of the sensor is pink. My Ipod wont turn on or do anything now. Is there anything I can do now? Did I burn it out by trying to turn it on and off and charging it? What are some tricks that I can try and does Apple keep a record in their system>
I tried to reboot it by holding the home button down for 10 seconds and that didn’t work.

There is actually something you can “try” doing.
Hard reboot it by holding the power button and the home button for about 10 seconds or until the iTouch restarts. You can release when the apple logo comes up..
If that does not work, and you already tried restoring, then theres nothing yo ucan do because the screen probably got fried or something.
Even if the sensor on the iTouch is a little pink, Apple already considers that as voided warranty. Your iTouch is not working because of water, and water is not covered by the warranty.
SOme people say sticking the iTouch in a cup of rice for about 3 days might do the trick, but i personally dont think it works.
The only thing you could possibly do is send the iTouch to Apple even though it is out of warratny, and pay them to repair the iTouch.

Another thing you could do is bring it to a small electronic shop near you that fixes these things, and they probably can fix it to you for a cheaper price. The price Apple charges is almost the price of a new iTouch itself.
